Our residency program offers 9 categorical spots per application cycle. After matching, you will complete all four years of residency at our institution.

We utilize the ERAS application system for each match year. All international medical graduates (IMGs) must have a valid ECFMG certificate prior to applying. Our interview cycle typically starts in the fall and proceeds until the end of January.

As a level 1 trauma center in the largest medical district in North America, we take care of some of the most life-threatening traumas in the Chicagoland area. We are proud to take care of the most diverse population of patients, most of which are classified as ASA-III. All in all, your training at County will be second to none.

Interview Information
Interviews will be emailed and scheduling information will follow
Prior to your interview day, make sure to join us for a social gathering with current residents to ask all of your important questions prior to your interview
The interview itself will consist of an overview session with the program director, 3-4 solo interviews with various attendings, and time at the end for follow up questions
We undergo a selection process using the NRMP (National Resident Matching Program); Match Day will follow in March!
